gentLED-TRIGGER is our solution to trigger digital stills cameras with IR capability from an external switch or relay . The unit sends a IR signal the camera uses to take a picture- in the same way a TV remote changes the channel. The IR signal is sent from a LED on the left of the box, with a second red LED giving indication of operation.

On the right of the box is a mono 2.5mm jack socket which can be used to switch the unit on and off via an external switch, a relay, etc.

Here are a few applications for this device:

Wireless camera controllers are available with a stereo 2.5mm jack designed to plug into specific cameras. They can also be used with gentLED- TRIGGER to also activate IR capable cameras.

Timers are also available with a stereo 2.5mm 
jack designed to plug into specific cameras. 
They can also be used with gentLED-TRIGGER 
to also activate IR capable cameras. 

Alternately a mouth or tongue switch from Conceptus Inc can be used. 
Make sure when ordering your switch you select the mono 2.5mm jack plug.
gentLED-TRIGGER has an internal link for sending single pulses or bursts 
of pulses to simulate continuous triggering. 

gentLED-triggerPLUS can control both shutter and video/movie on compatable cameras. The unit can be configured for shutter operation, video/movie operation, or both can be triggered from one switch with different lengths of press

Completely self contained, with built in battery (included) this unit weighs 18grams (0.6oz) and is only 38x28x18mm (1.5"x1.1"x0.7") in size. Runs for 500000 camera triggers on one cell!
